THE BEST WEEK YET ON THE MISSION!!

Family!

This week has-been really fast but probably one one my best weeks here on the mission!! Thursday was really so sweet because after P-Day, most of the time... Thursday is a bit slow!  But this time it was very cool !We received  6 more families we can teach and every person are progressing!  The members are now working with us and work is going so much better! Friday also went very fast, we taught the Enseñababmos family about the importance of the sacrament, and I can testify that the Holy Sacrament is very important! We renew our covenants each week and to be worthy again ! We often receive many problems and challenges, we need to attend church and and continue to do good works, if we do those things we can receive many blessings! Saturday was a normal day...we visit most of  the same people who are almost all members that we are working on activation.

As always Sunday was so cool that we had FOUR of our less active at church , and FIVE of our investigating families!!!   That week was better than any other on my mission ! SIX people now have baptismal dates set, I hope with all my heart they will continue! Mary and Michael were in the church also, can you believe it!  It is so cool!!  We have taught them for 3 months !

Monday we had 2 families Night lessons.. One at out Bishop 's house and the other at the  Stake Presidents House with our investigators, the lessons were great and Spiritual.  I think we can set their baptism dates soon!  I can not wait ! Yesterday was great !  We talked with  our members and we once received  3 more people to teach! It's great when they help us like that!

Well family...that is my week and I hope that everything is all good for all you guys and I pray that everyone of you guys are safe and are being active in the church always !! I know that if we can all be obedient in this life with all our strength and mind we will all live together again as a family forever! That is my goal,  that we can all be worthy to live with each other again in the celestial kingdom ! ! Family I love you and I hope everything is good and WOW I have 5 months in the mission ! ! ! !  The time is just flying by!

Letter from Elder Westenskow 2/19/2014

Hey Family!!

This week has been really good! I  really wish the time would slow down because it feels like time is just speeding by! And I have so much to do!

 First I want to tell you about my new companion Elder Medrano. He is freaking sweet and yes.... from the same mission as Ryan served.  Because when I told him that my brother served there,  he asked for a picture of Ryan so I showed him one... and he knew him and said he knew him when he was serving there. He is older.. like 23 years of age and loves to eat !

So for this week,  Thursday was sweet  we are teaching a lady, her name is Olyda and she is super sweet and likes to talk a lot!! She has  a lot of problems with her skin and health but she insists on listening to us because she believes every bit of the gospel and knows that it is true! The only problem we have is that she talks really fast and sometimes so fast that even my companion does not understand her and he is fluent in Spanish ! ! Friday was also very cool because we were in a house up in the mountains and we taught a less active member. She really appreciates when we visit because she does not get very much visitors because of where she lives. We just need to understand that she is never alone in this world because we ALWAYS have our Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father with us!   Saturday was pretty good but a lot of our appointments dropped and us was hard to find anyone to teach..Saturday's are usually like that.  Sunday was very cool ! ! It was stake conference and we heard from the Mission President and his Wife , the President of the temple here in Santo Domingo and his wife, and also Elder Civic and his wife,  from the seventy and it was really great! Because of that conference and their talks, they have changed the minds of the members here, they want to work with us and give references for us too! Monday was sweet and I hope that through the activity we did we can receive more people to teach . We were  teaching this amazing investigator and he really wanted to know more and kept asking if we could stay and teach more but it was 9 in the night so we couldn't stay but promised we would be back. The people are getting more and more excited to hear our message!  Yesterday was the best day yet because we invited the bishop to teach with us and it's just what we needed, because we found out earlier that day the family we are teaching,  the parents were never married so we taught about eternal marriage and the lesson was so spiritual!! They are really thinking about being married and coming to church with us!  I really hope they can find it in them to follow through all of this because they are awesome and we have been teaching them for 3 months now!

Family... that is my week and I hope I answered your questions and all , I love you guys sooo much and hope you are all enjoying that snow and cold weather . Talk to you guys next week ! !

ELDER WESTENSKOW

Dear family:

So sorry for last Wednesday, but internet went online today ! These past couple of weeks have been long but really good! I found out That my companion was leaving and that I am receiving my new companion and so I have been pretty nervous lately !   I will let you know where is is from, and who he is. We have been teaching an older couple for 6 weeks now but they haven't been to church!  But Thursday we talked to them a little about temples and families and they were really really interested!  So I think we will see them this Sunday. Friday I felt great, I've had a little better sleep...to go up those hills to see our investigators, a lot of the less actives live almost the top of the mountain and it is very cool. And very beautiful! Friday went by very fast.. Saturday went by fast too because we were teaching a family. They are great and they have 5 kids and they are very excited about being an Eternal Family.  Sunday was good too, I think we have to work harder than anyone here to get our investigators to church. We're in Capia! We're a little frustrated but it's okay ! PATIENCE !  Monday was good because I had the opportunity to share about my family history it was very cool telling the story of the old Mary and Michael, and my mom's stories of our family it is very interesting! They cry a lot when i express my love for my family

Please if you can pray for our investigators that they will attend church !

Tuesday was good, and busy, because my companion wanted to talk to his friends here and then talked with 10 or 15 people and wanted photos ! Since it's P-Day  I have had good sleep!Hopefully I can rest a little more to rest my knees!

 Family, I love you guys sooo much and I hope that everything is good with you guys and you guys are receiving many blessings.  All I want in my package is more pictures of Mylee and Gentry and Ryker and Charlee because the people here love looking at them! And me too! I've got to go, but I love you guys so much and I hope everything is good at home ! ! I miss and love you guys more then you know ! love you !
